Message	You're halfway there! I'm taking the same route as you though, get the plumbing in with a MBC and upgrade later. As far as your boost drop, I read a bit about the exhaust gas forcing the wastegate open at higher RPM if the actuator has weak springs (I believe, anyone back this up?)
